It would have been his 111th birthday: on 26/2/2014, the 351-page catalogue of works containing more than 1,200 of his pictures was presented at the Steuler works.

Josef Wittlich (1903-1982) worked in the wet pressing plant at the Steuler works in Höhr-Grenzhausen for decades. He lived in an attic room at the factory, he was part of the large “Steuler family”, the factory grounds were his home.
